Camp fire breakfasts

Probably my most favorite thing about camping is breakfast cooked on the open fire. Breakfast just doesn't take the same when you cook it at home. With the cold weather setting in I am missing those times. What do you usually cook for breakfast on the campfire?

We usually have ham, bacon, sausages, eggs, harsh browns, toast and beans. Not to mention fresh brewed coffee and orange juice. It is no wonder I always seem to gain a few pounds over the summer.

Food is just so much better when cooked and enjoyed outside.

I totally agree. Breakfast over the campfire is awesome!! Have you ever tried any cinnamon rolls over the campfire. They are really good. Try them next time.

I will definitely have to make up some cinnamon rolls next bbq season. I am already looking forward to it. The winters are too long and the summers are too short in this part of my world. A nice campfire cinnamon roll and some freshly perked coffee would be the perfect start of any day.

Cinnamon rolls are great and eating them outdoors makes them taste even better.

I love the ideas. I have never made or had cinnamon rolls cooked over the open fire. It is just too much like baking to me, but I am always open to learning.

I would add that fresh cooked fish works for every meal, including breakfast. We also love fresh locally picked berries to include over flapjacks.
