Grilled Pears And Apples



I tried this yesterday and it was great. Prior to grilling, I prepared a sort of thick syrup, using a little bit of water, some sugar and some cinnamon. Then I poured it on top of the apples and pears. After that, I put them in aluminum foil and onto the grill. Then I served them with some vanilla ice cream on top.

It was yummy!


We have done this with apples before but never with pears. Was it hard to pull off? For some reason apples seem like they would hold up better on the grill. Does the glaze have anything to do with how the fruits cook?
