Grilled Satay Chicken Tonight

I am trying to make the best out of the last few days of summer here so I decided to have a small bbq for dinner tonight with a few friends. I am planning to make Satay chicken skewers and I will grill them to see what it tastes like.

I normally always make Satay chicken in the oven, so this will be the first time grilling it.

I will let you know how it went :)

I love chicken satay but have never tried to make it myself. Thanks for the recipe! Is all peanut sauce derived from peanut butter? I'm lukewarm on peanut sauce and peanut butter is not good at all to me.

I just flat out don't like peanut sauce! Satay chicken is fine but without the sauce. I guess I'm a peanut butter purist in the fact that it belongs on bread and crackers rather than on chicken.

@Diane Lane thanks for the recipe! I must say that grilling it tasted so much better than in the oven. The chicken was nice and moist compared to when I baked it. I think I will grill it from now on.

@Amelie You're welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thankfully, the weather is finally starting to cool off here, so hopefully soon, I'll be able to get back into grilling. I'm hoping I can give this a try also, and I know it will be a big hit!

Thanks for the recipe and yes, it's terrible to grill with a lot of heat...

@Kenzie I think using peanut butter to make the peanut sauce is probably a 'cheat', and some peanut sauce purists would agree with you on that matter. Since it's not something I've perfected, or probably ever would perfect, I'm o.k. with cheating by using the peanut butter. It seems I'm coming across more and more 'cheat' type recipes these days, probably because people are looking to try new recipes, but don't have a lot of time to make sauces from scratch, or just choose to find an easier way to make the dishes they enjoy eating.

Well, if it's peanut sauce no real issue in using peanut butter right?
