Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon steak sauce
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
Directions

  1. Preheat the grill for medium heat.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix the mustard, honey, mayonnaise, and steak sauce. Set aside a small amount of the honey mustard sauce for basting, and dip the chicken into the remaining sauce to coat.
  3. Lightly oil the grill grate. Grill chicken over indirect heat for 18 to 20 minutes, turning occasionally, or until juices run clear. Baste occasionally with the reserved sauce during the last 10 minutes. Watch carefully to prevent burning!

Mmmm. Honey and mustard is one of my favorite combinations. It's great as a dip and even better as a marinade like this. So good.

I've been looking for a good honey mustard recipe. Every time I try to make it it isn't exactly right. Maybe mayo is the ingredient I've been missing!

Thats what I thought too lol. I find that Mayo just seems to bring out the honey mustard taste. I will admit this recipe isnt mine though...I stole it off my best friend lol.

I tried this recipe out last week and it was really very good. Thank-you for sharing this one Melissa. We will definitely be having it again.

Sounds good, I've heard of using mayo as a marinade for chicken, but honey-mustard is even better. I'm not so sure about the steak sauce though, I would probably have to leave that out since it seems like it would stick out like a sore thumb.

I am with you 100%. There are few combinations that peak out such a distinct flavor! When I was a kid living in So. Cal we would go to Bob's Big Boy and always order a side of blue cheese dressing for our fries. If I knew of honey mustard I probably would have forgotten all about blue cheese!

I've never really tried to make up my own recipe for honey mustard. This one sounds good so I will give it a try tonight as I am planning on having chicken. Hope it turns out ok. :)
