Kidney Bean Masala Stew - Rajma



I was interested in trying out this recipe, but I don't have all the ingredients. I would also prefer to use canned beans for this since I don't want to wait for the dried ones to soak overnight.

Does anyone know if there is a simpler way to make this recipe, and still have an authentic taste?


Are canned beans an absolute no? Would dried ginger be fine in place of the fresh stuff? How about powdered cinnamon in place of the cinnamon sticks?
