Sauerkraut Balls



Interesting! This is the first time I have ever heard of these. You are right though! What is not to love? I am going to give these a try. I doubt my kids will like them.


Interesting, I am from the area and had never heard of these before - particularly mixing cream cheese with sauerkraut like that. These sound super rich but I definitely would like to give them a try. I wonder if by bulk sausage perhaps they mean something like a keilbasa or smoked sausage which is more commonly cooked with kraut instead of an Italian sausage. However the Italian sausage is what's commonly sold in bulk at our grocers around here.

I would definitely make sure to freeze them though before cooking them, to prevent the inside mixture from melting into the oil and the balls from falling apart while cooking.
