Turkey Legs

I'm putting some turkey legs in the crock pot tomorrow with lots of sage, seasoned salt and some onion. This creates a wonderful aroma through the house. There's so much you can do with all that meat. Sandwiches, turkey salad, turkey nachos are just a few. What do you do with turkey legs?

Roast them slowly over an open grill. We then eat them Hagar style. The first time we ever came across turkey legs this way was at a Renaissance Festival and we just thought they were the best things ever.

I'm not a fan of the dark meat. I have seen people eating these at those festivals. I don't know, it just looks so barbaric to me. I don't really like chicken legs either. I like the turkey and chicken breast the best.

I much prefer the dark meat it is much juicier and in my opinion more flavorful. But I am very glad most folks prefer the white meat. It's cause of the chicken nugget craze that I am able to buy my favorite part for 39 cents a pound while chicken breast is over 2$ Thanks yall you nugget people I really appreciate:whoo::yo: it.

My favorite way to cook turkey legs is to roast them. How does sage taste? I have never used it or tasted it. Does it have a strong flavor?

Wow those are awesome prices. Here is Canada they are triple that price for any kind of meat. I can't even afford to buy chicken breast unless they put them on sale. I love turkey legs and pick them up whenever they go on sale which is not very often. Turkey is a bit cheaper then chicken here but not by much.
