Cacti are low-maintenance plants that make great additions to any home. They’re easy to care for and don’t require much attention, making them perfect for busy people or those who don’t have a lot of experience with plants.

Cacti need bright light to thrive, so place them in a spot where they’ll get plenty of sunshine. If you live in a warm climate, you can even put them outdoors. Just be sure to bring them indoors if the temperature drops below 40 degrees Fahrenheit.

One of the reasons cacti are so low maintenance is because they don’t need a lot of water. Overwatering is one of the most common mistakes people make when caring for cacti. Only water your cactus when the soil is completely dry to the touch, every two weeks or so. During the winter months, you can decrease watering even further.
